HOW DO I KNOW IF I CAN TAKE VOICE LESSONS?
It is very important to know, as a vocal coach, the prospect's previous experience, desires as a vocalist, motivations, and of course, the singers voice range.
Voice teachers should evaluate students individually with an audition. In the audition, the vocal coach should determine if the student can match a pitch, follow a melody in different keys and rhythm, or beat.
In general, anybody could learn any musical instrument. However, any student accepted to receive voice lessons, should consider themselves lucky.
WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE MYSELF FOR AN AUDITION?
If you want to be prepared for an audition and be accepted to take voice lessons, the candidate should join a church choir, or school choir or visit places offereing karaoke. Most church choirs are not looking for experienced people but for volunteers. You probably will not receive real vocal lessons there but you can start experiencing what is like to be on stage, or get a little feed back around you. You could warm up your instrument, the voice, and eventually get ready for an audition, most teachers will give you a free audition.
DO I HAVE TO LEARN PROPER MUSIC NOTATION TO BE FAMOUS?
Not really, a lot of famous singers dont even know what is a bass clef. However, if you are paying for proper music lessons, you should receive the real thing. Learn the basic concepts of reading and writing music notation. If you are interested in taking Voice Lessons in Fort Lauderdale, then contact us today :-)
